Mission

​

The Zug Pharma Group's mission is to build a community of sociable, Zug-based life science professionals. We aim to:

1. Build community - a friendly, sociable, supportive network of Zug area based lifesciences professionals

2. Contribute to building Zug as a hub for life sciences in Europe

3. Support schools to inspire and educate kids on life sciences

Guidelines

The group channels exist to support these aims, please engage and use them for these purposes. The following serve as broad guidelines for use. If any posts are deemed by admins to contravene these guidelines, they will be removed. Repeated failure to adhere to guidelines will result in removal from relevant groups:

RESPECT

Be respectful in your posts, please do not discuss controversial topics or write anything that may be confrontational. The group's channels should not be used for political discussion. Please respect everybody's time and respond privately to posts if the whole group concerned does not need to be involved​

ZUG FOCUS

This is a Zug Pharma Group, you are very welcome to post on activities and events that are happening beyond the Canton of Zug but the focus of the group should be on the Zug area. You are very welcome to join if you are keen to participate in building a community in Zug.​

ENGAGEMENT

Please get involved! This is a vibrant and active “people first” community, rather than a dormant distribution list and is based on in-person participation. Please do not join if you do not see yourself contributing to the group by attending events or contributing online. If you are not in Zug or surrounding cantons such as Lucern, Zürich or Schwyz or are looking for a purely professional network rather than an active Zug based community, please let us know and we can put you in touch with relevant networks.​

NON COMMERCIAL

The groups are a great way to share and raise awareness of events and activities, however please do not use the group to promote your business unless you are a commercial partner and the content has been approved. ​

SAY GOODBYE

You may, of course, leave the group at any time. We would appreciate it if you would say goodbye should you choose to leave. Please send Karen or Marc a brief message to let us know whether you are leaving a particular channel or the group entirely and if you could let us have any feedback that would be greatly appreciated.

If you would like to be a commercial partner, we have a number of sponsorship and partnering opportunities that add value to the group, please send an email to hello@zugpharmagroup.com. 

This is a "people first" group, by joining you are primarily looking to get to know people working in this industry in the Zug area.

The Board retains the right to expel any member of the group for non compliance with the above guidelines.

2. ZUG PHARMA GROUP PRIVACY NOTICE

PURPOSE OF DATA COLLECTION

The Zug Pharma Group is committed to fostering a vibrant community of life science professionals based in Zug. To facilitate networking and collaboration, we collect and process personal data of our members.

DATA COLLECTED

We collect the following personal data: names, email addresses, professional titles, areas of expertise, and other relevant details you choose to share.

LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING 

The processing of your personal data is based on your explicit consent. By providing your data, you agree to its collection and use for the purposes outlined herein. 

DATA SHARING AND TRANSFER

Your data may be shared within the Zug Pharma Group to enable networking and collaboration and the events attendee lists will be shared with the event partners. We do not otherwise transfer your data outside the group without your explicit consent. Your data is stored on the Google Workspace, which employs robust security measures to protect your information.  

DATA RETENTION 

Your personal data will be retained as long as required for the purposes of organising and running the Summit meeting and as long as you are a member of the Zug Pharma Group. Should you choose to leave, your data will be deleted in accordance with our data retention policy and applicable regulations. 

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to access, correct, delete your personal data, or restrict its processing. Furthermore, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT

To withdraw your consent, or if you have any questions or requests regarding your data, please contact us at hello@zugpharmagroup.com. Withdrawing your consent may affect your ability to participate in activities within the Group.

SECURITY MEASURES

We take the security of your data seriously. Your data is protected against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction through the use of Google Workspace’s security features.

COMPLAINTS

If you have concerns about how your data is handled, you are encouraged to contact us directly. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

3. ZUG PHARMA GROUP EVENT POLICY

PHOTOGRAPHY & SOCIAL MEDIA

We take photos of our events and post these internally within the group and occasionally on public facing relevant channels such as LinkedIn or our website.

By agreeing this policy you agree to the use of photographs that you are in being used in this way

ATTENDANCE

For events that are RSVP (not paid tickets) you are reserving a place to attend this event which may result in sponsors reserving space or purchasing food and drink. If you are not able to attend we kindly request that you inform the organisers. You can do this directly or by email to hello@zugpharmagroup.com.

As no shows can not only impact the success of the event, potentially prevent others from attending but also damage the reputation of the Zug Pharma Group with sponsors, speakers and partners repeated non attendance without informing organisers may result in you being barred from attending future events.

Please note that this policy does not apply to the monthly gatherings where signing up indicates an intention to attend and not a commitment to do so. 

CANCELLATION

For events where a ticket is purchased, the Zug Pharma Group cannot unfortunately refund the ticket price if, for any reason, you cannot attend. In such circumstances, best efforts will be made to transfer your ticket to someone else for example through you sharing in the WhatsApp community. 

All tickets will be refunded in the event of a cancellation of the event. Where possible events will be rescheduled rather than cancelled and all ticketholders will be given the option of a refund.
