2026 Zug Life Science Summit Bringing the Community Together

Some events fill a calendar slot. Others shift the way a community sees itself.

The 2026 Zug Life Science Summit is being planned with the second kind of event in mind. After the success of last year’s meeting, which welcomed more than 200 people and created an atmosphere many described as unlike any other gathering in the region, the next summit will bring Zug’s life science community together again for a focused afternoon and evening of exchange.

The format is simple and purposeful: an afternoon of workshops, followed by an evening plenary and networking. The aim is to create space for the conversations that do not always happen in day-to-day work, across companies, research groups, service providers, investors, founders, clinicians, operators, and the wider life science ecosystem.

Last year showed that there is real energy in Zug for a meeting that feels local, practical, and open. The 2026 summit will build on that momentum with a slightly larger event, more workshops, and new initiatives designed to help people meet, talk, and follow up in a more active way.

As last year, we are working with a fantastic group of partners and sponsors to produce the meeting and will be co-hosting the event with the canton of Zug. Workshops will be run by the Zug Pharma Group, Oliver Wyman, Mercer, Syneos Health, a-connect, Covington and Branding Science.

This year we are also working with Lenis to make it even easier and more valuable to network at the meeting

A meeting built around the Zug life science community

Zug has become an important home for life science organisations, from established global businesses to specialised companies, start-ups, consultants, investors, and support partners. The sector is broad, and that breadth is one of its strengths.

Yet a strong local community does not happen by accident.

People can work only a short distance from one another and still not meet. Teams can face similar challenges without knowing who nearby has already solved them. Founders may need advice from operators. Operators may need a better view of new science. Investors may want to understand what is forming in the region. Service providers may have practical experience that could help several organisations at once.

The summit exists to close some of those gaps.

The goal is not to create a formal conference where people sit quietly through a long series of presentations. The goal is to provide a setting where people can take part, contribute, and leave with useful learning, ideas and new connections. That means combining structure with space. Workshops give the afternoon a clear purpose. The evening plenary brings the community together in one room. Networking then gives people time to continue the conversations that started earlier in the day.

The best meetings have a clear sense of place. This one is rooted in Zug. It reflects the people working here, the companies growing here, and the shared interest in seeing the region’s life science community become more connected and visible and like last year, the meeting will be run on the day by a wonderful team of volunteers.

The summit is designed for people connected to life sciences in and around Zug, including those working in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, medtech, digital health, research, investment, services, operations, legal and regulatory support, talent, and company building.

It is also relevant for people who are new to the region or who want to understand the local ecosystem better.
